The premiere CD recording of the Lively-Fulcher organ
The beauty and magnificence of the Lively-Fulcher pipe organ at St. Olaf Church is now heard on a premiere recording. With many varied styles and composers, the music of the CD recording shows the versatility of the instrument and the inspiring acoustic in which it resides. Solo artist Dr. Lynn Trapp, Director of Worship/Music, Organist at St. Olaf Church, plays masterful performances of the literature featuring arrangements of well-known sacred tunes, music of the masters and lesser-known composers, as well as his own composition.
Since the inaugural celebrations in 2002, this organ continues to inspire worshipers in the liturgy, is heard in numerous concerts of varying mediums from full orchestra and chorus to solo voice to sacred dance, and is played by organ staff and guests from here and abroad. It will continue to glorify God for years to come and stand as a monument of faith in downtown, the Twin Cities culture, and the national and international music communities.
