Giving to St. Olaf

Weekly Envelopes

All registered parishioners have the option of giving by check or cash through weekly envelopes. Contact the parish office to register. We will send out a packet of envelopes for the year.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Electronic Funds Transfer enables you to authorize your bank to withdraw a specified amount of funds from your checking account each month and transfer them to the St. Olaf account. This way, you know that your pledge is being fulfilled on a monthly basis with no need to write checks or use contribution envelopes. The transfer authorization can be renewed annually at pledge time, giving you the opportunity to discontinue it or adjust the amount. Stock

When making a gift of stock, please notify the Parish Administrator by telephone, email or letter that a stock gift is planned and indicate whether you would like your gift designated for the general fund or for some other purpose. The easiest way to make a stock gift is by direct wire transfer from your broker to the St. Olaf account at Salomon Smith Barney. If you need assistance in completing the transaction, just contact the Parish Administrator at 612-332-7471.

Memorials

Gifts may be made in any amount to memorialize a deceased loved one or to honor a birth, anniversary or other special person in your life. Memorial gifts may be made by check. St. Olaf staff will send a memorial letter to whomever you designate, informing them of the gift.

Planned Gifts

For information about making a planned gift such as a bequest, insurance policy, charitable remainder trust or charitable gift annuity, contact the Parish Administrator at 612-332-7471.

Cars With Heart

You can now donate your vehicle (car, van, boat, snowmobile, etc.) to St. Olaf through the Cars With Heart program. The donor receives a tax deduction for the full appraised value. The church receives the majority of the proceeds from the sale of the vehicle. For more information, contact the Parish Administrator at 612-332-7471.
