Habitat for Humanity

A Brush with Kindness

A Brush with Kindness serves low-income homeowners struggling to maintain a decent place to live. Much of the work focuses on seniors, the disabled and single-parent families. Our faith moves us to share with those in need and to make this program available to our community.

Thank You!

Thank you to the 35 + St. Olaf parishioners who volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity, A Brush with Kindness program on August 28 and 29. Volunteers scraped and painted a large family home on Emerson Avenue in north Minneapolis. By the end of the day Saturday, a majority of the three-story house and garage were renewed with a fresh coat of paint.

Volunteers also appreciated the snacks, beverages, and lunch that was contributed by parishioners.

This project was a great service and community builder thanks to the leadership of Mike Nemanich and Carol Marshall, St. Olaf Commission on Social Justice members.

Check back next spring for future Habitat for Humanity and A Brush with Kindness volunteer projects.
